I've been asked to speak on faith a week from Sunday. Brother Ensign caught me as we prepared to head to the temple for youth baptisms. Joe is supposed to speak, too, but I don't know if Brother Ensign will be able to convince him.
This assignment just proves that God has a sense of humor, since my prayers recently have all been about increasing my faith in him and learning to do his will. I can feel him smiling down at me as I study, read, ponder and observe everything around me with the assignment in mind.
I've also been reading a book called, "Willpower Is Not Enough" which is an LDS book about how we can gain "control" over many challenges in our life by submitting to our Father in Heaven. I'm reading it with an eye for future therapy techniques and insight, but unsurprisingly, I've discovered that it too offers reflections on faith that are spurring thoughts and deeper inspiration about the topic.
This should be interesting. :)
