I signed up for the single adult conference this week. I've been telling others about it, trying to boost attendance so that there will be more fun for everyone. It's more fun when there's a variety of people to talk to and I keep telling people that they should come. Most people are doubtful, because they're worried that it's a meat market type atmosphere. That's almost a laughable concept. I don't think anyone has been asked out at any activity I've been to this year!
I think the singles who attend these conferences have made a career of being single. There are a lot of nice people, don't get me wrong, but it seems to be the same crowd every time. It's depressing to some degree, since I'm one of the regulars. (sigh)
