Birthday Week

Two birthdays this week. Joe turned 17 on June 28th, and Laine turned 15 on July 5th. Since the boys were at scout camp this week, I took Laine and Kelly to Sacramento to visit Erin and Nick and then drove us all to Great America on July 4th for some roller coaster fun. We had such an amazing time! We decided not to stay the whole day, leaving around 4 to eat at IHOP and then drive back to Sacramento. A good time was had by all. I tried to stay focused on the good things in my life and tried not to worry about spending the money I had allocated for this birthday adventure when I knew I had several big expenditures waiting for me when I got back. I know having each of these children in my life is a huge blessing, and being able to provide for the basics is nothing to be taken lightly. I am grateful for each of us being in relatively good health I am thankful that Johnny's camp injury wasn't more serious. I consider myself blessed to have the gospel. I know there are thousands of things to be grateful for each and every day. Being the mom of my children is the most profound blessing to be had on this earth.
