The Race to the Eagle

Tonight, the gauntlet was tossed down. Johnny, an 11 year old scout, has officially informed his brother that he's going to get his Eagle Scout before Joe!

Tonight was the court of honor for the Stake, and Joe received two rank advancements. He's now First Class, working on Star (is that right??). Johnny, meanwhile, has been working hard with his troop and will be finishing up Tenderfoot, Second and First Classes before he moves on into the regular troop on March 7th. That means that barring any unforeseen circumstances (like Joe deciding not to be lazy), Johnny will be the same rank as Joe and I have no doubt that he means what he says when he tells his brother he's racing him to Eagle.

Now, how to motivate Joe??
