Our Saturday

The kids and I were up at 7. I felt a little spacey, personally, since I had a severe allergy attack last night and had trouble breathing (and sleeping) for a few hours.

This morning, we went to clean the chapel at 9 am. The only person who didn't go was Johnny because he had a camp out yesterday. (I checked him out of school early to get him ready for it, and we still just barely got ready in time.)

After cleaning the chapel, I set the kids to cleaning their bedrooms, then cleaned up the kitchen.

At 11 I had a quilting class at the chapel. It's a skill I really want to learn, but it looks like it might be an expensive one, so I stayed after class to ask about how to cut costs on my first project.

I dropped a prescription request off at CVS then went to pick up Johnny out at Lost Lake. He really loved his campout, even though he complained about the thorns in his sock, and uncomfortable sleeping area, and animals coming around the campground. He was also terribly thirsty. (Note to self: Next time, make sure Johnny brings more water! It wasn't even on the list...I insisted that he bring some and it's a good thing I did.)

After that, a baptism for Jacob Young, a young man in primary. Baptisms are always fun!

Kelly and some friends are planning on heading to the dance tonight, so I will be playing taxi again later. I guess I'll be cleaning some more for the rest of the day, and drawing up a plan for one of my consulting clients. Not exactly the kind of celebratory weekend I had in mind, but maybe it will do. :)

I'm looking forward to the Single Adult fireside tomorrow night. It's one of my favorite monthly activities!
