Kitty Love
I had to share this cute photo of my kitties. Poppy (orange tabby) is a boy kitty, and Snuggles (aka Nuggles, because she definitely isn't snuggly) is a girl kitty. We used to call Snuggles our roof kitty because she was on the roof so frequently for years. Visitors would come to the door and she would meow at them, either from the roof or from the cross beam in the porch roof. Maybe she thinks she's too old...we've had her for about eight years now, but for some reason the last few months she has decided that the ground is a better place, and she's been hanging out near the front of the house, lounging around with (and occasionally kissing) Poppy.
This morning, we heard a knock on the door and when I went to answer it, a gentleman greeted me and told me that he had hit our cat Snuggles. She had been crossing the road as he approached, and instead of continuing across the road, she had become frightened and turned and ran back across his path. He thought he had clipped her backside, but she just kept running into our neighbor's yard. We searched for an hour afterward, and couldn't locate her. I kept checking the front porch and all her usual hangouts, but to no avail. Finally this afternoon, she turned up on our front porch. I couldn't locate any wounds, but she seems to be walking a little oddly. It might just be in my imagination since I know that she was hit by the car, but I sincerely hope she was as unscathed as she appears. Even though she's not snuggly, we love her.
