Halloween!

Here are the masterpieces created by my kids...from back to front, it's Johnny's, Laine's, Joseph's and Kelly's. Kelly's tree is pretty cool. I also thought making the pumpkin face upside down was a clever idea, which is what Joe did with his. He also made the hole big enough that he could put it on his head...on purpose. Laine's pumpkin was a happy little face, and Johnny's pumpkin was scary with lots of holes poked in and the word "kill" for effect.

Here's Joe's costume...he thought of it himself. I didn't have to buy anything he wouldn't normally wear except the goggles. He's a steamship captain. Pretty cool, huh?

Here's Johnny's costume...he was an explorer. Hat, backpack, rope, jeans and a jacket.

Kelly was "struck by lighting." A little face paint, some messed up hair, raggedy clothes and she was all set!

Laine refused to let us take her photo. Makes me sad!

Halloween evening, we stayed home to greet our trick-or-treaters (4 - a record!) and Johnny decorated like crazy. We put our artificial Christmas tree out on the porch, and Johnny put orange lights on it and some "candy corn" lights, too. He hung orange streamers straight down from the cross bar so trick-or-treaters had to walk through it to get to the door. Our screen door was covered with a huge spiderweb. Besides the jack-o-lanterns, we had luminaries. Fun, fun, fun!
